Morbius, Ep. 2a: The End of a Vampire

The adventures of the Living Vampire continue as Kurtis and Ryan return to talk about the many portals to hell, what vampires do at a house part, and how a guy can erase you off the face of the planet! This this the insane world of MORBIUS! All this and special guest appearances from Ghost Rider, Man-Thing, Werewolf By Night and The Thing! These comics just keep getting weirder!

  1. Kevin Jones says:

I was just listening to this episode, and can say, yes in some traditions, vampires have blood flowing in their veins, and that blood is equally infectious!

Bram Stoker himself says so! In one particularly unnerving scene in _Dracula,_ The Count slits open his chest with a fingernail, and says:

“And you, their best beloved one, are now to me, flesh of my flesh; blood of my blood; kin of my kin; my bountiful wine-press for a while; and shall be later on my companion and my helper.”

And forces his victim to drink _his_ blood.

Now I’m not a reader of Morbious comics. And I know from some of the Kung-Fu movies I’ve seen that vampires might be a bit different in Asia than they are anywhere else—these vampires hop, instead of walk! No, I’m not joking. And I can’t say anything about the circulatory systems of scientific vampires. But if Bram Stoker is to be believed, yes, there’s blood flowing in them there rotted veins!
