Awesome idea for a podcast, and has given me a direction to follow a certain purchasing/reading order. I’m 33, and grew up in the same era of comic book fandom…X-men and Spider-Man cartoons and the series 1 of Marvel cards helped solidify my love of the Marvel Universe. I also have an older brother who was a Marvel guy, and would sneak off with his 80s Spider-Man’s and FFs…been collecting since 8 or 9 and never stopped. I was obsessed with the Essentials, and always defended them to naysayers who hated the B & W…well, now ive drunk the Epic Collection kool-Aid and there’s no going back! I own many of the runs of the 70s/80s/90s stuff that get Epic’d, but having these on the shelf slowly (but hopefully surely!) To replace Essentials and other random TPBs is too good to resist. Keep up the great work with these, I’ll be leaving my 2 cents on issues covered as I read em!
Glad you like it, Josh! I think there are many in your similar situation with a bookshelf full of Essentials. This is definitely a step up!
