Captain America, Ep. 9: Dawn’s Early Light

Kurtis and Jared begin their series on Captain America with a look at the short but sweet run by Roger Stern and John Byrne, along with the several issues that follow. Jared makes an interesting observation about all of the fill-in issues, and they get a little bit political at the end (but this is a Cap episode so it probably can’t be helped).

Issues discussed: Captain America #247-266, Captain America Annual #5

This episode uses clips from interviews with Jim Salicrup and J.M. DeMatteis. The full interviews and many others are available as exclusive perks for our Patreon supporters.

What is it  about the Red Skull that makes him a great villain? How exactly do you  pronounce DeMatteis? All is answered within! This is a companion episode to Captain America, Ep. 9: Dawn’s Early Light.  […]
